These are such cuuute dresses for when you want something whimsical and playful but a little fancier than average. It's hard to see in the pictures, but the neckline is about the same in the front and the back, and there are ties in the back to draw it together. One of these fell off in the wash so I snipped the threads on the other and the dress still lays just fine, but by now it's probably one size too small. If you order up, the ties might be necessary.
In any event, I like it better without the ties on the baby's dress as it makes me more comfortable putting her down for nap in it. My older daughter still uses the ties and there's no issue there.
